Development of Spectrum Pictures

Spectrum Pictures is the institution for our production, Networked. We came up with the name after brainstorming a variety of possible names, but this followed the film noir theme. Film noirs are traditionally in black and white, so Spectrum shows a subversion of the genre already, suggesting our institution will produce film noirs in a spectrum of colours.

Logo

The logo took multiple attempts to master. Originally, we had gone for text and an image in the logo, the first two drafts (which were not used) can be seen below.

Attempt Two

Final Attempt

This shows a 2D circle, with the letters S and P embedded inside. The letters touch the edge and are transparent, so only the circle can be seen in colour, with cut out letters.
Logo Favicon

Above, in the web browser tab banner, the institution should be displayed in a 64x64 favourite icon (favicon), which is also used when the website is added to your favourites. The logo on the blog makes it look professional, and if the institution had a website, it would be useful to make sure that the audience are aware that they are on the institution' s official webpage.
